KAP Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter would like to congratulate a student of the Kennedy electorate – Jordan Gyss of Ingham; one of seven Queensland winners of the Heywire 2012 short story competition.
Heywire is an annual competition for young people from regional Australia to showcase their imagination by writing stories about themselves and the communities within which they live.
Mr Gyss’s uplifting story illustrates his life dealing with Aspergers Syndrome and how by finding cycling, as both a hobby and a sport, he also found a new sense of tolerance, confidence and spirit.
Mr Gyss received his official certificate of congratulations on Thursday December 13, 2012.
We wish Jordan Gyss all the best with the bright future ahead.
