Mythical ‘tribal’ groups own millions of hectares across Australia. Sure these groups earn millions in administration, houses and limited community facilities are built, but no individual title deeds are ever available. Not one single First Australian can own their own house on community lands. They can’t renovate or improve with pride, they can’t start a business, they can’t use the equity in their house as collateral… they have absolutely no means to improve their families finances unless they leave the region they call home. Successive governments keep throwing money at these communities but they will not remove the economic handcuffs that would allow businesses to grow, and homes and businesses to be built with pride through hard work and sacrifice.

This week on Wisdom Mongrel Patriot, things get a little cooked... literally. Bob Katter sits down with Alex and Tori, the young gun owners of the El Arish Tavern, over a smoked BBQ crocodile. While they’re busy devouring the croc, they’re also chewing over the politics of the day, the history of the legendary El Arish Tavern, and the very important question: What would Alex do if he was Boss of Australia? There’s plenty of politics, plenty of yarns and, naturally, plenty of crocodile. But the real question is: what does Bob actually think of croc tail? Does it really taste like pork crackling? If Bob gets his way, could we be seeing a whole lot more crocodile on Australian menus? Pull up a chair, grab a feed and join Bob, Alex and Tori for one of the most entertaining - and downright delicious - conversations yet. To watch full episode on YouTube, click here .
